Pending Adoption

Miela

Say hello to Miela, a gentle, kind-hearted puppy with a playful spirit and a love for backyard adventures! With her long legs and slim frame, she’s a joy to watch as she grows into her paws—sometimes with a wobbly step or two that’ll melt your heart.

Miela is affectionate and gives kisses. She adores curling up next to her humans for snuggles and is great with other dogs—always sweet and submissive. She also knows to respect the cat’s space, making her a wonderful addition to a multi-pet household.

Born into a litter of five, Miela and her sisters are now ready to find their forever homes. Though her brother sadly didn’t make it, her resilient, loving nature shines through every day.

She’s making great strides with house training and currently sleeps in her crate at night, though she still needs a quick potty break before sunrise. In just a few weeks, she should be able to make it through the night.

Miela is expected to be a medium-sized pup when fully grown, around 40 lbs. She’s up to date on vaccines and ready to start puppy classes—a great way to bond and learn the ropes of raising a well-mannered furry friend.

Skylar

Skylar is a beautiful 8.5-month-old Labrador/Shepherd mix, currently weighing 27 kg. She’s still a puppy at heart, with lots of love to give and plenty of growing to do—she’ll be a large dog once fully matured.

When Skylar first arrived, she was heartbroken after being separated from her three furry siblings. It was clear she hadn’t experienced much of the outside world, and many things seemed unfamiliar and overwhelming. But with time, patience, and love, Skylar has started to blossom.

Now, she’s discovering all the joys life has to offer! She absolutely loves going for walks and is steadily improving on her leash skills (though straight lines are still a work in progress). She adores her people, greeting us with a wagging tail, gentle kisses, and happily curling up at our feet for a nap. She’s also realized how much fun she can have just zooming around the backyard!

Skylar is housetrained and gets along well with the other dogs in our home. Even our cat—who puts every newcomer through his own personal vetting process—has given her the stamp of approval.

What she’s still working on:
Skylar is building her confidence, especially when it comes to meeting new people or visiting new places. Car rides can be overwhelming for her, and she’s still learning basic commands and crate training—but she’s making steady progress.

This stunning girl is full of love, and with a bit of patience and dedication, she’s going to make an incredible companion. She’s up to date on her vaccinations and will be spayed soon.

I’m Bugsy, a one and a half year old Pug.

I was originally purchased to become a stud, but I really wasn’t into the girl that much, so their project of breeding us fell apart.

So now I’m with Sophie’s Dog Adoption, getting neutered and looking for an actual family to love me as a member of their family.

I’m great with dogs, ignore cats and generally a great little dude.

I’m Lamar, a 4 month old puppy looking for a permanent home.

I’m oh unknown breeds, mom was a petite 30lb mix, and I never met my dad!

As a young boy, I’m active, curious and playful. Obviously very young, so I will n et you to teach me right from wrong. But I’m proving to be a very smart puppy.

I’m good with other dogs, totally cool with cats (they rule!), and being crate trained to facilitate my first year of becoming a structured dog.

I’m Lil Chiko, an 8 year old toy poodle.

I’m a super friendly little dude, get along great with other dogs, smaller than most cats and absolutely adorable.

In a little fellow, and my name is Spikey Chi. I’m an 8 year old Chihuahua, and following a dental, I’m left with one tooth! Sophie calls me the one-tooth bandit! 

I’m absolutely adorable. I’m tiny (5.6 lbs), and super friendly. I bark at people who come over, respond to other barking dogs outside, but other than that I’m super quiet. I’m pee pad trained, but also enjoy going for walks or going in the yard. But you have to watch out for holes under fences! I’m a bit of an escape artist.

I’m great with everyone, big or small. I live with other dogs right now, and get along with the little ones. The bigger dogs, I try to bite their nose off, but with one tooth, it’s never a success.

I’m Chanelle Chi, a 7 year old Chihuahua on a diet. I arrived at 15 lbs, but the vet says I should be 7-8 lbs maximum.

I’m super sweet, a little shy at first, but once you know me, I’m great.

I’m on a strict diet, walks are hard right now, so I exercise by playing with my toys. I throw them, run after them, and can entertain myself all day!

I’m in great shape other than a little wheezing from being so heavy. But the vet says once I trim down, that will get better.

I’m Schnoopy, a 14 year old Schnauzer/Poodle mix, looking for a new home.

You see, my mom and dad were placed in a home where I couldn’t go, and the family “couldn’t” take me because they already have dogs and cats.

I’m super healthy for my age, I certainly have several good years in front of me.

I’m great with other dogs, can live with cats and older kids, as I’m very gentle and friendly.

In Maggie B, most likely a Schnauzer mix, and I’m a year old.

I weigh about 25kg, so fairly big girl, but sweet as can be. I’m good with kids, ok with with cats and great with dogs. However, I do have some leash reactivity which needs to be worked on to make our walks fun.

I also don’t care to stay alone very long, so someone who is quite present or can work on my separation anxiety, would be the best.

I’m an old boy, looking for a compassionate adoption.

I was living in a home where I was severely neglected in the past few years, I arrived with horrendous eye and ear infections.

To make it worst, I’m completely blind and my hearing is not so great from the massive ear infections I had.  I do have dry eye syndrome, or KCS, so I need artificial tears to help as my eyes don’t produce them on their own .

My heart and lungs are great, I still have a lot of “joie de vivre”, so I’m looking for a compassionate home to take me in until the end. I still have a few good years in front of me, if you’re willing to give me the care I need.

I’m Bella Waii, a newly arrived girl from Hawaii, where I was to be euthanized at the pound due to overcrowding.

My mix is unknown, I’m long and short legged, and shepherd looking! I’m no more than 25 lbs.

I’m 4 years old, and probably never had a real home. I was found in the streets and have lived in a shelter until I arrived in Canada earlier this month.

I’m very shy and scared of new things, learning to walk on a leash is all new too.

You are looking for a mellow, quiet, easy going buddy? I may just be the guy for you.

I’m Nemo, a 7-8 year old Shih Tzu who was given up because of a toddler who didn’t understand I’m not a toy. He would pull my tail, ears and it was unpleasant.

Ideally a quiet home is what I want, kids would be ok if they’re old enough to respect me as I don’t have a mean bone in my body.

I am getting a full dental asap, so how many teeth I’ll have left is a guess. They are pretty bad at the moment. Other than my teeth, I am very healthy. I’m quiet and friendly, you couldn’t ask for a better dog.

I’m Gaston, a 9 year old Chihuahua whose dad died two years ago, and the person I was left with did not take good care of me.

I was just neutered and had 10 teeth extracted due to a horrible mouth. The pain was horrendous. I could barely eat.

I’m Mylo, a gorgeous 6 year old, male pitbull. I’m big and stocky, but a charmer. I am around 90lbs so for strong hands. I love being on your lap if you’ll let me !

I live with two cats, I’m great with dogs and have no bad habits. I’m only looking for a new home due to personal circumstances, not because of behavioral issues.

I can stay home alone, fully housetrained and even pretty good on walks. I’m not at all reactive, but like to pull so I can sniff everything.

I’m not yet neutered but will be included with adoption, it is NOT negotiable.
